Uzun Çarşı, which constitutes the oldest part of the Bursa market, started to form with the shops located in the north of Emir Han. It is understood from the old documents that today's Grand Bazaar was called Uzun Bazaar in the first half of the 15th century. Small businesses with ridges were established in the north and south of the Uzun Çarşı axis.
