Emir Han Detail
The Emir Khan, built by Orhan Bey after the conquest of Bursa, is in the northern part of the Great Mosque. Until 1522, the Bezzaziye Han, the Old Bezazistan or also called as the Bey Han, and has taken the name of Emir Bey. Having been damaged by fire and earthquakes at various times, the Han was restored after the 1958 fire. The front of the two-storey Han rooms, made of cut stone and brick, have porticos. The lower floors are made as warehouses and the upper floor rooms have windows and a furnace. There are 73 rooms, 36 on the lower floor and 37 on the upper floor.
